At La Grande Church of the Nazarene kids matter! We have all sorts of events for kids and families that seek to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where kids can discover who God is and grow in relationship with him. Kid's Church is a great place for kids (4 years-6th grade) to learn about who God is and his love for them. We have an incredible team of volunteers who love to serve our kids. Kid's Church is both high energy & high impact to help kids grow in their relationship with God. Kid's Church happens on Sundays (except for Family Worship Sundays) and is dismissed during worship.
This is a new take on an old classic. We believe that kids need to see faith modeled before them by the adults in their lives and that adults need kids to show them what childlike faith is all about. This class is for all ages where adults, teens, and kids can come grow in Christ in community together across the generations. Family Sunday School happens on Sundays at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall.
Bible Quizzing gets kids into God's Word. Kid's can learn about the Bible and get to put their knowledge to the test. Each season focuses on a different book of the Bible and helps kids learn the stories of Scripture while having fun as part of a team. Practice is on Thursdays at 3:30pm during quizzing season.
We offer a variety of opportunites for families to come together and have a great time at chruch. Sometimes it is something as simple as a family movie night and other times it is events like our annual Pinewood Derby or the JCR Country Blast. We believe that every generation matters and want our church to be the kind of place where families recieve the encouragement and support they need to thrive.
